Teachers Pay Teachers (TpT) is a double sided marketplace, comprising of educators who buy, sell, and share teaching material. Over 5 million people use TpT with a couple hundred thousand using the mobile versions of the marketplace. It was time to expand TpT’s mobile capabilities. The original version of the app didn’t allow purchasing, had no design system, very limited functionality, and wasn’t meeting all of the sellers needs to help run their businesses.
As the design lead on the team, I partnered with product managers, engineers, marketing, the community team and more to redesign, rebuild, and launch a brand new version of the app. Following this was a rebrand and continuous cycles of feature design, improvement, and development.
